Ram Charan : ‘Peddi Is My Favourite Subject’

Ram Charan's new movie, Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and featuring Janhvi Kapoor, is becoming one of the most talked-about Telugu films lately. The music for the film is composed by AR Rahman, which has raised a lot of excitement among fans.

On Saturday, Rahman performed a live concert in Hyderabad, and to everyone's surprise, Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Buchi Babu Sana appeared on stage with him.
 Their sudden appearance made the audience really excited and became the main highlight of the event.

The first song from the film, Chikiri Chikiri, was released on November 7.
 It quickly became very popular online, getting over 46 million views in just 24 hours. That's a record for an Indian song. The Telugu version alone got 32 million views, and the Hindi version had 10 million, making it the most-viewed Hindi dubbed Telugu song in one day. The song, sung by Mohit Chauhan, has a catchy tune and a fun dance step that's been shared a lot online.

At the concert, Ram Charan said he was really happy to be part of Rahman's live show and thanked the fans for their support for the song.
 He mentioned that working with Rahman was one of his childhood dreams, and that this project, Peddi, means a lot to him.

Peddi is a semi-period sports drama set in the Uttarandhra region.
 It combines emotional storytelling with big movie elements. The story centers around the character of Peddi and his emotional journey. Buchi Babu Sana promises it will be a deeply rooted yet grand cinematic experience.

The film stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma.
 It is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and is made in partnership with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The film is written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, with AR Rahman composing the music. Peddi is set to be released in theaters on March 27, 2026.
