Kanguva Trims 12 Minutes From Modern Portion?

Though there were high expectations for Kanguva, the film has consistently received mixed reviews. From loud background music to over-the-top drama, Kanguva received heavy criticism. It seems the makers are trying to minimise the damage. 

According to reports, the makers have decided to cut 12 minutes from the original runtime, mainly in the first half, which contains modern scenes. Many social media users feel that scenes featuring Disha Patani, Reddine Kingsley and several others are likely to be edited out. The producer's wife had earlier tweeted and deleted that Disha Patani has limited screen presence. "Angela's character is not the focus of Kanguva. She cannot dominate a 2 and a half hour film! Simple, because, yes, she was there to look beautiful!!!" 

Suriya's wife Jyothika also responded to the negative comments about Kanguva. She praised Suriya's acting skills and called the film an "absolute cinematic experience", but also acknowledged criticism of the first 30 minutes of the film and the sound quality.
