Pushpa 2: The Storm Has Begun

The strike for Pushpa 2, the most anticipated film, has begun. Pushpa by Allu Arjun became a huge blockbuster across all of India after becoming a sensation not only in Telugu but also in all other languages. Presently the intensity is now on with the second part with the USA appointments as of now.

Even though Pushpa 2 The Rule USA's release date is still a month away, bookings are already underway.

The appointments storm has started, with $50K gross from a couple opened Cinemark areas. Up until this point, Pushpa 2 The Rule has opened bookings for 554 shows (328 in Telugu, 208 in Hindi, 12 in Tamil, 2, 4 in Malayalam, and 2 in Kannada). By November 4, full reservations and PLF and IMAX shows are expected to open.

Weeks before its release, Pushpa 2 is growing in popularity; it will be interesting to see when the actual Pushma mania kicks in when bookings open across North America.

Pushpa 2 has an advantage over the other two major films, Devara and Kalki 2898 AD, due to the success of the first part. Above that, Pushpa 2 performed exceptionally well in the North. Part 2's openings are anticipated to be so significant for these reasons that it may achieve a $200 million opening day gross.

The United States premieres of Pushpa 2 The Rule are scheduled for December 4th, 2024. Earlier, it was December 6, but Pushpa 2 chose to premiere on Wednesday to take advantage of a five-day first weekend.
