Why not a Kannada title for your film?” Journalist asks Sudeep

With the arrival of Rs. 8 crores*, Mufasa: The Lion King had a respectable start in India. There haven't been many movies with this kind of opening in 2024, so it's a relief that it's an animated film and still managed to get such high ratings. Additionally, it demonstrates that audiences are eager to see other films this season and that Pushpa 2: The Rule is not the only one that will be showing. 

Indeed, it was anticipated that the movie would start with a comfortable double digit opening. In fact, prior to Pushpa 2's release, it was predicted that the movie would easily surpass Rs. 15 crores on its first day of release.
