The initiative is intended to provide young and talented people with a dedicated space to demonstrate their skills and enter the Telugu film industry.
Dil Raju announced the vision behind DRD, saying, "Sri Venkateswara Creations is currently focusing on top-class projects. Harshith and Hansitha were also challenging themselves with big budget production, so they needed a parallel platform to promote emerging talent.
He added that DRD is supported by a team of 14 young professionals with strong technical knowledge in filmmaking, and includes a dedicated CEO. The choice of script goes through several phases and we look at every step of the care of the selected people,” he said.
The official DRD operation will begin on July 1st. The first project is expected to be completed at the end of July, as announced by Dil Raju.
Vijay Deverakonda, who attended the event as a special guest, announced her emotional connection to the initiative. Fourteen years ago, I was looking for a casting call and was fortunate to land on Sekaru Kamura's life. This film changed our lives," he recalled. When I heard from DRD, I was able to feel excitement among all the emerging artists. Even if this only helps a person's dreams come true, it can be an incredible success.
Dil Raju Dreams promises to become the launchpad for the next generation of Telugu film storytellers, actors and technicians.
