Pooja Hegde Signs Telugu Film After 5 Years?

According to reports, Pooja Hegde will make a formal return to Telugu film after a lengthy absence. Although it was signed back in 2020, Acharya (2022) was her final full-fledged Telugu film. She was involved with Guntur Kaaram (2024) for a short time, however she left the project early on. For the past five years, she has mostly been away from Tollywood, with the exception of a rare appearance in Formula One 3.

Pooja turned her attention to Tamil and Hindi movies during this time. She signed with Retro, Jana Nayagan, Coolie, and Kanchana 4 in Tamil, costarred with Vijay in Beast, and took on a couple unsuccessful Hindi films. Her commercial appeal and glamor quotient have kept her name relevant in big-banner conversations despite the uneven results.

According to industry insiders, she is currently negotiating to star opposite Dulquer Salmaan in a Telugu movie. According to reports, the project is a love story and marks Ravi's directorial debut. The movie is being supported by Sudhakar Cherukuri's SLV Cinemas, the same company that made Dasara and Paradise. According to reports, the script was completed some time ago, but Dulquer's busy schedule caused a delay. Pooja was recently approached by the producers, and it is reported that she gave them a positive response.

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), Pooja's most recent significant Telugu hit, solidified her status as a leading heroine. After that, her momentum was stalled by a run of poor movies including Acharya, Radhe Shyam, and Most Eligible Bachelor.

Following the success of Sita Ramam and Lucky Baskhar, Dulquer has gained recognition in the Telugu market. His Telugu graph keeps getting better, and Kaantha and Aakasamlo Oka Tara are on the way.

In industry circles, the Pooja-Dulquer collaboration has already begun to generate excitement, even though an official announcement is still due. If it comes to pass, it might be the beginning of a new chapter for Pooja in Tollywood and another noteworthy endeavor for Dulquer.
