One movie that has kept getting attention even though it hasn't started filming yet is Sandeep Reddy Vanga's cop drama 'Spirit', which features Prabhas in the main role.
The original plan was for the film to start shooting after Sandeep's film 'Animal', but the delay has been going on for four years. The main reason for this delay is that Prabhas has been busy with other projects and hasn't been able to take time off.
In the last year, there has been a lot of talk that 'Spirit' will finally start production once Prabhas finishes his current projects like 'The Raja Saab' and 'Fauji'.
However, nothing has happened so far, which has disappointed fans of the Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prabhas pairing who are eager to see the film. The wait has been getting longer with every passing month.
Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has announced that the much-anticipated start of 'Spirit' will happen towards the end of this month.
He made this announcement today at the Jigiris event in Hyderabad. While Sandeep Reddy is confident about starting the shoot soon, there is still uncertainty about whether Prabhas can actually adjust his schedule and begin filming 'Spirit' this month. This is because he still has some scenes left to shoot for Hanu Raghavapudi's war film 'Fauji'.
Prabhas has completed most of the shooting for 'The Raja Saab', so he can now focus on 'Spirit'.
However, he will need to handle different looks for both films and quickly switch between roles. His character in 'Spirit' is completely different from what he has played before. Only in the coming days will we find out if Sandeep Reddy's statement turns out to be true or not. It wouldn't be surprising if the start is postponed to next year.
The 'Spirit' soundtrack, launched for Prabhas' birthday, made a strong impression.
There's no doubt that the buzz around the film will continue even with the significant delay.
