Thaman Worried About Fan Wars Trend in Tollywood

Music director Thaman has shared his worries about the rising negativity from fans in the Telugu film industry. While speaking at the success event of Akhanda 2, he highlighted that Tollywood has a lot to offer — a large number of superstar actors and a massive fan following. But he believes this same strength is now becoming a problem.

Thaman said that Telugu cinema is respected worldwide for its scale and reach.

People outside the industry give high praise to Tollywood and its stars. However, inside the industry, he feels there's a lack of unity. He pointed out that continuous fan fights and online arguments have created a lot of negativity, which is harming the entire industry.

He also expressed his feelings about the recent delay of Akhanda 2.

The film was planned to release on December 5, but it was postponed at the last minute due to unexpected legal issues. Thaman mentioned that instead of supporting the producers during a tough time, many people chose to criticize them publicly. He reminded everyone that producers also have families and face a lot of pressure when a release is delayed just hours before the film hits the theaters.

Thaman stressed that when one film faces challenges, the whole industry should come together.

Instead of attacking each other online or celebrating someone else's failure, filmmakers and fans should show support and understanding. He said social media has become a place where films are constantly criticized by rival fan groups, and this trend needs to stop.

Calling for unity, Thaman said he is ready to support any film, whether by promoting it, posting tweets, or making public appearances.

He urged everyone to work together, reduce negativity, and protect the positive image that Telugu cinema has built over the years. According to him, only unity can help Tollywood grow strong in the long run.
