No Break After Blockbuster: Chiru Gears Up for Mega 158?

Megastar Chiranjeevi once again showed that he still has a strong hold on the box office with the huge success of his Sankranti film Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu. The movie did really well during the festival season even though there were many other films competing. The movie directed by Anil Ravipudi broke several records in its first week and became the biggest hit of 2026.

Feeling good about this success, Chiranjeevi didn’t take a long break before starting his next project.

 He is now getting ready to begin the shooting of ‘Mega 158’, which is directed by Bobby. This is his second film with Bobby after Waltair Veerayya, which was a big hit during the 2023 Sankranti.

According to reports from the film industry, the official launch of this unnamed film is planned for the last week of this month, and the main shooting is expected to start at the same time.

 Since Sankranti brought Chiru good luck with hits like Waltair Veerayya and Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu, the makers of ‘Mega 158’ are thinking of releasing it during next year’s festival.

The concept poster for this highly anticipated project was revealed on Chiru’s birthday last year.

 The poster showed a blood-stained axe cutting through a wall and suggested that it will be a full-action movie with lots of intensity and violence. The caption “The Blade that set the bloody benchmark” created a lot of excitement around the film.

‘Mega 158’ is being produced by Venkata Narayana and Lohith NK from KVN Productions.

 This is their first production in Telugu. The cast and crew have not been officially announced yet.
