Can Pushpa 2 Repeat RRR magic at Japan Box Office?

Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun's big-budget blockbuster, has opened well at the Japan box office, generating curiosity among moviegoers there.
In its first two weeks, the action drama recorded around 17,000 footfalls and collected nearly ¥105 million, which is approximately ₹6.1 crore. This is a decent and encouraging start for an Indian film in Japan.

These figures highlight the growing global appeal of Telugu cinema.
When Rajamouli's RRR was released in Japan, it amassed around ¥140 million in its first two weeks, setting a record that hasn't been matched by any other Telugu film to date.

However, the real surprise came later, as RRR received tremendous word-of-mouth praise and enjoyed a long theatrical run of nearly 30 weeks, eventually earning close to ₹120 crore in its full run.
Now, the big question is whether Pushpa 2 can follow a similar path and replicate RRR's success.

The outcome will depend on audience response, repeat viewings, and how strongly the film resonates with Japanese viewers.
If the positive buzz continues, Pushpa 2 could also enjoy a steady and extended run. Otherwise, it might conclude its Japan journey on a less impressive note. Let's see what happens in the days to come.
