Spirit’: Prakash Raj no longer part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga-Prabhas film after creative difference with the director

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movie 'Spirit' featuring Prabhas has kept fans excited and talking. Since the announcement, it has been a popular topic. However, the film has also made news because of some casting issues. Earlier, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was part of the project, but she left due to some disagreements. Now, new reports say that Prakash Raj is also not part of the movie anymore.

Regarding Prakash Raj's reported exit from 'Spirit', according to OTTPlay, he was earlier announced as a key actor in the film.

 But now, there are rumors that he is no longer involved. The reports say that there was a conflict between the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the actor Prakash Raj. The issue was about the script and the way a particular scene was being shot. Moreover, it's said that the actor's behavior on set became difficult, leading the makers to part ways with him. So far, there is no official statement from Prakash Raj or the film team.

Prakash Raj has also criticized the National Film Awards, calling it compromised.

Earlier, Deepika Padukone was supposed to be the female lead in 'Spirit'.

 In early 2024, reports said she left the project. This news surprised many fans. It was reported that she had disagreements with the director over work hours, salary, and profit sharing. Her demands didn’t match the director’s plans, so she left the project. This news added more drama and discussion about the film.

Later, Tripti Dimri, who became famous for her role in 'Animal' and has worked with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the same film, was announced as the new female lead.

On New Year's Day 2026, the first-look poster was released.
