We are getting closer to the release of Ram Charan's film Peddi. A lot of money has been spent on making this movie, and everyone is keeping a close watch on the ticket price increases and whether the governments will give permission for the premiere.
There are reports that the Telangana government is considering not giving permission at all because there is a conflict between the exhibitors and the producers over the percentage system.
The producers are from Andhra Pradesh, and the exhibitors are from Telangana.
Because of this, the government is having a hard time deciding which side to take. Some sources say they might even reject the permission completely.
With the decision of the Revanth Reddy government in Telangana, the Andhra Pradesh government is also unsure whether to grant permission or not.
They are worried about how it might look if they approve the permission in one state while the other government refuses.
That is why active producers, including Peddi's producer Satish Kilaru, have gone to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to ask for permission for ticket price hikes and the premiere.
They also asked for a government order that allows flexible pricing.
It seems like the uncertainty about the price increases and the premiere will go on until the very last minute.
