Malayalam Cinema Yet To Start the Big Opening Trend?

Malayalam films are known for focusing on strong stories and content. These movies are always given a lot of attention, especially when they have famous actors. The way people receive these films can be quite different in such cases.

Athiradi is a new movie that has started to do well at the box office in Kerala, though it began with a decent start.
On its third day, the film earned Rs. 4.75 crore, which is a 10 percent increase from the previous day. Overall, the film has made 15 crore rupees so far.

But even with the presence of Tovino Thomas and Basil Joseph, the film is not doing as well as expected.
It's common in Malayalam cinema that films with big stars don't always open strongly. This slow start might be because of the political situation in Kerala, but this has happened before too.

The film is an action comedy directed by Arun Anirudhan, and it has already turned out to be a good success.
In the final weeks, it is expected to surprise movie experts by making a lot of money. The movie still has a week left before Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 comes out.

The story follows Samkutty, a civil engineering student who loves concrete and is passionate about reviving his college's legendary "Arohan" festival.
The event was banned by the management years ago after a stampede.

Samkutty's plans are disrupted when the event’s main guest, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and an unexpected guest, Shaan Rahman, are kidnapped by Sreekuttan Vellayani "Kuttan," a notorious goon who is also a musician.
