Ram Charan's Peddi has been creating a lot of positive buzz because of the catchy songs, exciting teasers and interesting character posters.
Many people thought that director Buchi Babu would take the excitement to the next level with the highly anticipated trailer. However, the trailer didn't quite hit the mark on some important parts.
While Ram Charan's strong presence on screen and his ability to act in many different ways were the main highlights of the trailer, which is full of drama and emotions, the biggest letdowns were the background music and the editing.
Because of poor work in these areas, the trailer didn't reach its full potential and didn't meet the high hopes.
With AR Rahman involved, people were expecting great music.
Since the film has a sports theme and a village setting with lots of drama, ARR was expected to create an exciting score that would match Ram Charan's energy and Buchi Babu's big plans. The songs released so far have been really good.
Unfortunately, the background music in the trailer didn't match the feeling of the scenes and didn't create the right kind of effect.
Another issue with the trailer is the editing, which was reportedly done by Vijay Vardhan K. Instead of keeping the audience interested and moving along with the emotions, the edit felt flat with just a normal sequence of shots.
Meanwhile, film editor Navin Nooli, who is known as one of the best editors for big films, is expected to do a much better job in the final movie.
Even the color grading done by cinematographer Ratnavelu for some parts of the trailer didn't seem to match the overall mood of the story.
Although Ram Charan's strong energy and powerful dialogue delivery keeps the viewers interested, the trailer didn't meet the high expectations because of these problems.
Now it all depends on how well the final movie is made.
