AP Govt to Give Green Signal to Flexible Pricing GO?

The government of Andhra Pradesh has been working on making the process of setting movie ticket prices easier for a while now.It has become very difficult for the government to check each request for higher ticket prices from different films and then approve them one by one.

Now, it has been confirmed that the Andhra Pradesh government is seriously thinking about introducing a new rule that would let filmmakers set ticket prices flexibly, without needing to ask the government for permission.

A similar process is already in place in Telangana, where filmmakers can increase ticket prices up to ₹295 without getting approval from the government.
It seems like the Andhra Pradesh government is also looking to introduce something like this soon.

In fact, the AP government is considering an even more flexible approach.
Under this new plan, ticket prices could be set anywhere between ₹100 and ₹1000.This proposal has been under discussion for some time and might be implemented soon.

This information was shared by Andhra Pradesh's cinematography minister, Kandula Durgesh, at the Lenin Success event.
It’s likely that this change will happen soon.Once it is officially approved, filmmakers and distributors will be able to set ticket prices as they want, within the given range, without needing to get government approval.
