How much did Jan Neta earn on the first day at the Indian box office?
The Tamil political thriller was released yesterday, July 23, with over 3,900 showtimes.
Even with only 11% of seats filled throughout the day, the film still made fair money.According to Sacnilk, it earned 1.75 crore net on day one.This is less than Vijay's previous film, The Greatest Of All Time, which made 2.1 crore.In total, the gross was 2.06 crore.
Jan Neta marked Kollywood's 8th biggest Hindi opening
With 1.75 crore, Jan Neta beat Kaala (1.51 crore) and became the 8th highest Hindi opening for Kollywood films.
It pushed Rajinikanth's Darbar (1.17 crore) out of the top 10.It is still below Ponniyin Selvan 1 (1.85 crore).For Thalapathy Vijay, this film had the third biggest Hindi opening after Leo (2.85 crore) and The Greatest Of All Time (2.1 crore).

The film also stars Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, and Prakash Raj.It is a partial remake of Nandamuri Balakrishna's Bhagavanth Kesari.It was made with a budget of 300 to 350 crore.
