Jana Nayagan Box Office Collection Day 2 Highlights: Vijay-starrer witnesses 50 percent drop, earns Rs 112 cr worldwide

Actor-politician Vijay's last movie, Jana Nayagan, did well on its first day at the box office, making Rs 42.7 crore net in India.But the collections dropped a lot on Friday.According to Sacnilk, the movie made Rs 21.15 crore net on its second day, bringing its total India earnings to Rs 63.85 crore.Globally, it has earned Rs 112.50 crore.

On Friday, the film had an overall occupancy of 44.33%.

Morning shows had 32.77% occupancy, afternoon shows had 37.23%, evening shows had 47%, and night shows had 60.31%.

Recently, director H Vinoth talked about how people react to Vijay's movies.

He told Rangaraj Pandey, "Whenever a Vijay sir movie comes out, people talk about it for a week—saying this is good, that isn't, this doesn't work, that doesn't.Then after a week, they say it's not that great.But six months later, it starts becoming a big hit in society."

Vinoth also said, "This is a really important movie for Tamil Nadu's film industry.

For me, it's like a real dream, being right in the middle of those two worlds."
