Producer Venkat K Narayana says Jana Nayagan is coming to theaters at a very special time.
Vijay is in this film, which is likely to be his last before he starts his full-time work in public service. The film, directed by H Vinoth, is set to have a big worldwide release in just two days on July 23.
Venkat mentioned that the path to making this film has had some surprises, but he thinks those difficulties have actually made the movie even more meaningful.
"We knew there might be some issues because Vijay had already talked about his political future. But we didn't expect delays in the release, problems with piracy, and legal challenges. Those were completely unexpected."
The producer said that Jana Nayagan is made to honor Vijay's amazing career.
"Jana Nayagan is a proper tribute to Vijay's legacy.Fans will feel emotions, remember good times, and enjoy the movie together."
When talking about working with Vijay, Venkat praised the actor's hard work.
"Vijay is very disciplined, always on time, and really committed.Every day on set was great."
When asked about comparing this film to Bhagavanth Kesari, he said people shouldn't think the film is similar just because of the trailer.
"We only took inspiration from two scenes.Everything else - the story, characters, and emotional struggles - is completely new."
Venkat also expressed disappointment about the film getting an 'A' certification.
"He wished more families could watch it together and understand its message."
He also shared that making a film with Chiranjeevi is another dream coming true.
