The film Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, was announced for October 16 and is being made by Mythri Movie Makers.
Another film, Adarsha Kutumbam (AK 47), directed by Trivikram Srinivas and starring Venkatesh, is also looking at October 16 as a possible release date, especially if their planned October 9 date doesn't work out.
With so many big Telugu films eyeing the same release window, people are naturally becoming more doubtful about Jailer 2's original schedule.
If Jailer 2 is really set for October 15, it would be hard for two other big films to choose to go up against it on the same weekend.
Even though Jailer 2 is a Tamil film, Rajinikanth is very popular and has a big fan base in Telugu states.
The first Jailer was a huge success there too, which has created a lot of excitement for the sequel among Telugu moviegoers.
There have been other examples where Tamil movies have done really well in the Telugu market.
For instance, Vishwanath And Sons, which stars Suriya, was more successful in Telugu than in Tamil, even though it was originally made as a Tamil film.
All of these things make it clear that Jailer 2 is still a big part of the competition for October releases.
If the movie is really coming out on October 15 as planned, then it's unlikely that AK 47 will be going for October 16.
This has led to more speculation that there might be changes to Jailer 2's release date, but no official confirmation has been given yet.
