Baththa is one of the latest Tamil films that has been a big hit.It features Vijay Sethupathi in the main role and is produced by Atlee and others. The team is planning to release the dubbed version in theaters soon.At the same time, the cast has been getting a lot of positive feedback. While it's not unusual for Vijay Sethupathi to take the lead, the real standout is child artist Sai Prithviraj, who plays the character Sabari.
Vijay Sethupathi is a very talented actor, and it takes a lot of effort to match his performance on screen.
However, Sai's portrayal of Sabari made it look effortless. The character of Sabari is well-written, and Sai brings it to life in a natural way.
Sabari is a character that reminds people of their younger selves, which makes the film very relatable.
This has helped the movie connect with audiences, and it's likely that Sai's role will be remembered even after the film is no longer in theaters.Even though Sabari isn't one of the main characters, the story revolves around him, so his role is very important to Baththa's development. The film gives Sabari a level of respect and importance that is not often given to child characters in mainstream cinema.
Sai's innocence and performance played a big part in the film's success.
He makes the audience laugh, care for him, and support him.Especially his performance in the confession scene is very impressive and deserves many awards. This is one of those performances that stays with you long after the film ends.
During the promotions, Vijay Sethupathi said that Sai Prithviraj, not him, is the real hero of Baththa.
Those who watch the film will see what he means. It's rare to see a big name actor give the spotlight to another artist, and thanks to Vijay Sethupathi, Baththa stays genuine without being overshadowed by star power.
Letting a child actor take control of the screen and even outshine the lead when the story needs it requires great writing and a lot of confidence from the lead actor.
Director Balaji Tharaneetharan has created a film that leaves a lasting impression, and we hope that this kind of success is replicated in Telugu cinema as well.
