India Had Flying Cars 5,000 Years Before Elon Musk: Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor has reignited online discourse by juxtaposing Elon Musk's visionary concept of aerial transportation with the legendary Pushpaka Vimana from the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. While engaging in promotional discussions for his forthcoming cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, the actor posited that India had accomplished a comparable feat approximately five millennia ago.

During an interview that brought together Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, and director Nitesh Tiwari, the ensemble delved into the extraordinary armaments, vehicles, and visual spectacles inherent to the ancient epic.

Their discourse subsequently pivoted from these mythological marvels to consider the implications of contemporary technological advancements.

In response to Elon Musk's recent declaration regarding the invention of a flying car, Ranbir remarked, "India accomplished this feat five millennia ago!" His assertion alluded to the Pushpaka Vimana, the legendary airborne chariot famously linked to Ravana within the epic Ramayana.

The observation rapidly garnered widespread attention on social media platforms, prompting the circulation of numerous interview clips.

While a segment of the audience expressed appreciation for the actor's fervor regarding Indian mythology, others challenged the analogy by highlighting the distinct disparity between mythological narratives and contemporary technological feats.Furthermore, many netizens transformed the statement into viral memes, humorously suggesting that India had inadvertently neglected to patent its purported ancient aviation technology.

In the Ramayana, the Pushpaka Vimana is depicted as a resplendent flying palace or celestial chariot.

Within Hindu mythology, this magnificent vessel was originally fashioned by Vishwakarma, the divine architect, for Lord Brahma, who subsequently bestowed it upon Kubera, the deity of wealth.Ravana later conquered Kubera and seized command of the aircraft.

Ranbir's allusion pertained to Tesla's forthcoming Roadster, unveiled by Elon Musk during an October 15 event in Texas.

This demonstration incorporated rocket-style thrusters capable of enabling the vehicle to execute unconventional aerial maneuvers, momentarily elevating it above the ground.

Amid the substantial pre-release anticipation surrounding the film, Ranbir's remarks have introduced an additional focal point to the promotional strategy, effectively bridging ancient mythology with futuristic technology within a single discourse.
