Fear of Pushpa 2: Film Jumps to Shivaji Jayanti

The uncertainty surrounding the release date of Vicky Kaushal's much-awaited period drama Chaava seems to be getting murkier ever since the makers decided to release it on December 6 to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Since then, Maddock Films has speculated on several possible dates, including December 20, January 10 and February 19. Reports suggest that the makers are considering releasing the film on February 19, 2025 to mark Sivaji Jayanti.

If released on the occasion of Sivaji Jayanti, the film will surely be well received by the audience in Maharashtra.

Fans have been discussing on social media the possibility of releasing the film on the occasion of Sivaji Jayanti.

One user said: "It is perfect for Sivaji Jayanti and celebrates the legacy of Sambhaji Maharaj. "

However, some have reservations and concerns about the release date, fearing that a February theatrical release alongside already-sold-out movies like "Deva" and "Raid 2" could impact the film's revenue and success. Directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna and Divya Dutta, Chaava has been creating a lot of buzz ever since its teaser was released on August 14.

With no official announcement yet, fans will have to wait and hope that the film doesn't clash with another big project that could impact the box office numbers.
