Movie Reviews Banned In Front Of Theaters!

Recent releases in the Tamil film industry, Kanguva and Vettaiyan, have consistently received poor to mixed reviews. Filmmakers often believe that reviews have more impact on a film than content, and this strong belief has now led to a ban on film reviews outside cinema halls.

Public discussions about films outside cinema halls are recorded by many content creators and YouTube channels. Though not detailed reviews, filmmakers say that a yes or no from the audience after watching a film sparks a real debate about the film.

The Tamil Producers Council has imposed a ban on "film reviews" as it believes that recent films Kanguva and Vettaiyan must face difficulties and suffer losses in theatres due to these reviews. The Producers' Council was of the opinion that these reviews would put the film at risk and cause losses. However, there are differing opinions on the ban. Many on the internet are saying that the ending of Kanguva is indisputable and that Vettaiayan is also not a great film. They say banning reviews and critics in theatres will not change anything.
