PK’s Ustaad – Producer Breaks Silence on the ‘Remake’ Buzz

The production of Pawan Kalyan's upcoming cop movie Ustaad Bhagat Singh has finished, and the team is now searching for the best time to release it in April next year. However, there is still confusion about whether the film is an official remake of Thalapathy Vijay's movie Theri.

Director Harish Shankar hasn't commented on this issue, but the makers have said the film will not feel like a remake.

But there is a lot of talk in the industry that Ustaad Bhagat Singh is loosely based on Theri, as the main idea from the original movie has been kept for the Telugu version.

Harish Shankar is famous for taking stories from other movies and adding a unique Telugu twist and mass elements that appeal to Tollywood audiences.

Some believe he has changed the Theri script to match Pawan Kalyan's style, just like he did with Gabbar Singh, which was a remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg.

Recently, Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi has been confident that Ustaad Bhagat Singh will do well because of its strong story.

He says the film will be a hit at the box office and that it won't feel like a remake. But his comments have also made people question if the movie is actually a remake.

So, we'll have to wait for the start of promotions to find out if Harish Shankar's story is inspired by Theri.

The team is planning to release the first single for the new year.
