I Don’t Know: Is Karthi Frustrated About Kaithi 2’s Progress?

Kaithi came out in 2019 with Karthi as the main actor and Lokesh Kanagaraj as the director. The movie was very successful and helped Lokesh build his career. The ending of the film hinted that there might be a sequel, and fans have been waiting for it ever since.

But Lokesh has been working on other big projects.

 He made films with Vijay, Kamal Haasan, and Rajinikanth, and also started the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe, which began with Kaithi. Some news earlier suggested that he would begin Kaithi 2 after finishing Coolie, but even after that, there's no news yet.

Recently, Lokesh's name was connected with a multistarrer film featuring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, but that might now be going to Nelson.

 Aamir Khan also said he is in contact with Lokesh and might work with him. New reports suggest Lokesh could make a film with Allu Arjun after Allu finishes his project with Atlee. Still, nothing is certain about Kaithi 2.

On the other hand, Karthi is working on his own film projects.

 After his movie Meiyazhagan, which was released as Sathyam Sundaram in Telugu, he is now ready with Vaa Vaathiyar, which will come out in Telugu as Annagaru Vostaru on December 12. He has been promoting the film in Tamil Nadu and Telugu states.

During a media event in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Karthi talked about his experience on Annagaru Vostaru.

 When asked about Kaithi 2, he said he had no updates and didn’t know when it would happen. Earlier, he had said the sequel would come soon. His latest response has made many people wonder if he is upset about the slow progress.

Karthi’s upcoming films include Sardar 2, which has already been shot, then Marshal, and later HIT 4 with director Sailesh Kolanu.

 For now, even the main actor is waiting for news about Kaithi 2.
