Peddi To Face Tough Competition In Hindi Belt?

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan became really popular all over the country after the huge success of SS Rajamouli's RRR.
Even though his previous movie Game Changer did not do well at the box office, there is a lot of excitement around his upcoming sports drama Peddi in North India. The film is set to release on March 27th.

Even though Paradise and Peddi are planned for March 26 and March 27 releases respectively, recent reports suggest that Paradise might change its release date because a lot of the filming is still not done.
However, there is no official confirmation about this delay yet.

Now, talking about Peddi, its Hindi version is expected to compete with some big Bollywood films.
While no major Hindi film will directly clash with Peddi, a few big releases like Yash's Toxic (Dubbing), Ajay Devgn's Dhamaal 4, and Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 are also targeting the 2026 Eid festival.

All three of these big movies are aiming for a March 19th release, which is a week before Peddi's release.
Yash's Toxic has a lot of hype among Hindi audiences because KGF 2 became a big hit in North India. The fourth part of the successful Dhamaal series is also getting a lot of attention in Bollywood. And now, Dhurandhar's sequel has also joined the race according to the latest news.

If any of these films become huge hits, it could affect Peddi's opening in North India.
After the first single Chikiri Chikiri became very popular everywhere, expectations have gone up a lot. Especially in Hindi circuits, the buzz is very positive. So, the Eid releases might be a challenge for Peddi in the North.

At this point, Peddi is definitely one of the most awaited films of 2026 in both South India and Bollywood.
The presence of Jahnvi Kapoor as the female lead and the music composed by AR Rahman has added more excitement about the film. How well the film does at the box office will depend on how the team manages promotions and the response to the trailer among Hindi audiences.
