South Indian heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is different in this area.
His recent film choices and the handsome offers he has declined show how careful he is when listening to scripts before deciding to work on a project. His ability to avoid some of the biggest flops recently has become a learning example for his peers.
Most actors get excited by their success and sign films without really looking at the script's potential.
But Dulquer is different. He stepped back from projects like 'Indian 2', 'Thug Life', and 'Parasakthi'.
At first, many in the industry criticized his choices, but Dulquer proved them wrong.
All those films ended up being huge box office failures. He was offered the role of Siddharth in 'Indian 2' and Simbhu's character in 'Thug Life', but he chose not to take them.
'Indian 2' and 'Thug Life' were directed by famous names like Shankar and Mani Ratnam.
Yet, Dulquer didn't get swayed by their reputation and rejected the offers. He also turned down Sivakarthikeyan's latest film 'Parasakthi', which didn't do well with the audience.
Now that all the films he refused have failed at the box office, other stars might think twice before accepting similar scripts.
Dulquer will soon be seen in the upcoming Telugu romantic drama 'Aakasamlo Oka Tara', directed by Pavan Sadineni.
