Raja Saab & MSG Makers Approach Telangana HC For Hikes

As the Sankranti film season is about to begin in Tollywood, attention is now turning towards ticket price increases and early show timings for big-budget films like *The Raja Saab* and *Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu*, which are set to release in the coming days.

With a lot of money at stake for both films, the producers are trying to get permission for higher ticket prices and special show timings in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
They have already applied to both state governments for these permissions.

The latest development is that the producers of *The Raja Saab* and *Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu* have filed special petitions in the Telangana High Court.
They want the court to allow higher ticket prices and more show timings during the festival to recover their investments.

Last year, a single judge in the court had issued a strict order against increasing ticket prices for the public good.
The court also stopped the Telangana government from giving special permissions to *Akhanda 2*. It also criticized the state government for not following the court’s orders. So, the Telangana government is stuck unless the court gives new instructions.

Now, the producers of *The Raja Saab* and *MSVP* are asking the court to cancel those previous orders and tell the state Home Secretary to allow higher ticket prices and early showings.
Their lawyers filed an urgent motion for a hearing on Tuesday. But the court said it would hear them on Wednesday.

The result of tomorrow’s decision will determine how well these films do at the box office.
If the court approves their petitions and gives favorable orders, the state governments are likely to support the filmmakers’ requests.

While *The Raja Saab* features pan-India superstar Prabhas in the lead role, *MSVP* has Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead.
Both films are highly anticipated and are expected to do well in Telugu states.
