Will Jana Nayagan Overcome the ‘Censor’ Battle?

With just two days left, there is a lot of uncertainty around the release of Thalapathy Vijay's much-anticipated movie Jana Nayagan.

 The Censor Board has not given the film a certificate yet, as it has asked for some changes and silence in certain parts of the final version.

The team sent the movie for censorship on December 18, but they haven’t received any approval yet.

The lawyer representing the producer said that the team made all the changes the board suggested and resubmitted the revised version on December 24.

 However, the CBFC didn't respond for almost ten days and only sent a notice on January 5 saying that they decided to send the movie to a revising committee (an appeal body) because of an anonymous complaint about the film's content.

After hearing the arguments, the court told the CBFC to share all the related documents with it and postponed the hearing to Wednesday.

 These events have left fans very anxious and they are now waiting with bated breath to see what happens. The future of the release date is uncertain.

If the court does not support the movie team, it will be a big setback.
