Some days back, it was reported that Telugu producer Anil Sunkara had approached Tamil actor Ajith for a big-budget movie that was supposed to be directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
The initial talks were said to be going well, and things were moving in a positive direction.
But now, the project has been put on hold, with no clear word on when or if it will move forward.
While the exact reasons aren't officially known, people in the film industry suggest that money could be one of the main reasons for the delay. Some reports say that Ajith has asked for a huge amount of money—around 160 crores—for this project, which has left the makers surprised.
There's no denying that Ajith is one of the top stars in Kollywood, with a huge fan following and strong box office numbers.

However, according to these reports, Ajith’s film is already confirmed, and the Tamil producers are okay with paying him a large sum. The project is expected to be announced soon.
