Harish Shankar paid tribute to Pawan Kalyan’s character and style in the song.
There were also some images of Pawan Kalyan’s political journey in the lyrical video.
Since then, people have been talking about whether the film will include political themes or references that could be seen as targeting YSR Congress.
However, Harish Shankar released a video where he explained things.
He said, "Pawan Kalyan clearly told me that politics and films should be separate.
That is why his films include Prakash Raj, even though they have different views. There will be no dialogues or references that target anyone else in the film. That is also because Pawan Kalyan has fans from all political parties. However, there will be dialogues like 'Gaaju Glass' to make our hero look good."
It’s good that Harish Shankar clarified this before the film releases.
But it’s also time for other directors to completely avoid showing Pawan Kalyan’s political side in their films.
References to the Janasena Party, its symbol, and Pawan Kalyan’s political ideas are not necessary in films.
If directors want to highlight Pawan Kalyan, they can focus on his positive qualities. Sujeeth made sure there were no such references in OG, and fans loved that.
Trying to include these political references is taking the storyline out of its normal range to please the crowd, which is not needed.
Harish Shankar may not be able to go back and change anything now, but future directors should be careful.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh has been in production for a long time and faced delays due to many reasons.
Harish Shankar released Mr Bachchan in between, but it didn’t do well. He really needs a hit with this film.
