Kerala Story 2: Controversy Full, Collections Dull!

The first part of The Kerala Story, which came out in 2023, made a lot of money even though there were many controversies and some people called it propaganda.
So, people expected the second part to do really well and make even more money in the first weekend.

But that didn’t happen with The Kerala Story 2.
It came out last Friday after the High Court allowed it, even though there were a lot of protests. The film started slowly at the box office and surprised everyone because the first part made over 300 Crores.

The Kerala Story 2 opened with just 75 lakhs on the first day.
It did better on the second day, making 4.65 Crores, but the number of people watching it was very low in all areas. Even though there are no other films competing, the first weekend is likely to bring in only a moderate amount of money.

Usually, movies that are seen as propaganda can do well if their story connects with a group of people.
That’s what happened with the first part, making it a big hit. But the second part didn’t get the same response.

The mixed reaction to the sequel suggests that audiences are no longer interested in these kinds of stories that feel the same and are getting old.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is a follow-up to the 2023 film.
It follows three young women from different states who choose love over tradition, but end up in trouble. Produced by Sunshine Pictures, the film features Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, Aishwarya Ojha, Sumit Gahlawat, and Arjan Singh Aujla in important roles.
