Gen Z’s Favourite ‘Dude’ Is Set to Return?

Pradeep Ranganathan's film "Dude" became a big hit in Tamil cinema, making over 100 crores and helping new director Keerthiswaran gain recognition as a filmmaker to watch. The romantic movie, made by Mythri Movie Makers, connected well with young people, especially GenZ, and boosted Pradeep's popularity thanks to Sai Abhyankar's hit soundtrack.

Now, fans have something new to look forward to.

 Recently, director Keerthiswaran shared that he already told Pradeep Ranganathan a small idea for a sequel called "Dude 2." According to the director, Pradeep liked the idea, and the story would continue from the famous "Come on, Dude" scene in the first film.

But Keerthiswaran also said the sequel isn't set in stone yet.

 He explained that the idea is just in the early stages and will only move forward if it becomes a full and exciting story. Once the script is ready, the team will consider making "Dude 2."

This update is important because "Dude" wasn't meant to be a franchise from the start.

 But the movie's success and the popularity of Pradeep's character have made people want a follow-up.

Right now, both Pradeep Ranganathan and Keerthiswaran are busy with other projects.

 Still, since the director has already started thinking about a sequel, it seems more likely that "Dude 2" could happen.
