A Forgettable Debut For Bollywood Star Actress in Tollywood

Bollywood stars used to avoid South Indian cinema, but now they are excited to grow their fame beyond North India. Many top Hindi actors are open to working in Telugu films because Tollywood is getting more attention and box office trends are changing. Some big names have already tried this path and it worked for them.

Top Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha wanted to make a strong start in Telugu cinema with the supernatural thriller Jatadhara.

 She played a dark and intense mythological character named Dhanapisachini, the Goddess of greed. The film released last Friday. From the teasers and trailers, many thought she had a major role, which could help her become a strong choice for similar characters in the future.

But the film did badly at the box office and it was a big disappointment for everyone involved.

 Neither the script nor the actors' performances were liked by the audience. The film also faced strong criticism from film critics. The box office numbers were really bad because of the negative reviews and poor word of mouth.

Sonakshi's character and performance didn't get much attention because the film didn't have any standout moments.

 What was supposed to be a dream debut for Sonakshi turned into a nightmare and a forgettable experience in Telugu cinema. She hoped to get big offers in Tollywood after the film's release. Sadly, Jatadhara made all her hopes disappear.
